Sunday 3 March 2024 was a date to remember for the guests of the Cooperativa Sociale Arca. L’Arca di Como was founded in 1982, and is a non-profit cooperative society whose purpose is the general interest of the community in the human promotion and social integration of citizens, through the management of four therapeutic-rehabilitative communities aimed at training and social rehabilitation, within which personalized therapeutic and rehabilitation programs are implemented. The final goal is the reintegration of the subject into the normal social context through the acquisition of personal autonomy by recovering the values neglected during the “drug addiction” experience. The objective is not only to abandon the use of narcotic substances but also, as far as possible, to identify and remove the causes of pathological addiction. The therapeutic process is aimed at eliminating or reducing subjective and environmental obstacles that prevent the achievement of the objective. And part of this path also includes sport, and volleyball in particular. Therefore, the boys from the Cooperativa had the opportunity to participate in the derby between Pool Libertas Cantù and Consoli Sferc Brescia, during which they incessantly cheered for the hosts, helping them win 3-1 in the heartfelt match.

The children of the Community are enthusiastic about the experience, and many of them would like to repeat it. They cheered and shouted, and had a lot of fun, and we’re very happy about that. In short, it was a unique experience, also because some of them had never attended a live meeting. The welcome given to us was fantastic, and we will try to repeat it as soon as possible. Let’s hope that the cheering the boys gave contributed to the victory. Together with the boys, we would like to thank the club again for everything they have done.”
