The press conference to present the Del Monte® Serie A3 Italian Cup was held in Fano in the morning, where the local authorities and the President of the Serie A Volleyball League Massimo Righi presented the first Serie A3 event of the 2024 season: the 2nd and on March 3, in fact, at the Palasport Allende in Fano, the third edition of the Serie A3 Italian Cup will be awarded.
Below are the statements of the authorities who intervened.
Massimo Righi (President of the Serie A Volleyball League): “Here we are again in Fano, where we have already organized the Del Monte® Junior League in 2022, the Del Monte® Supercoppa Serie A3 in 2023 and this year the Final Four of the Italian Cup A3 series. Who knows what the next event will be… We gladly come back here because the quality of the environment, from society to the institutions, leaves us satisfied. Thanks to sports tourism, the impact on the territory will undoubtedly be good: when we organize events, the first thing we are asked is the extent of the impact on the territory. In the upcoming Final Four, all three matches will be live on YouTube, but we will have 5 cameras available, with graphics, replays and direction: a high-level production aimed at enhancing the event and its visibility”.
Massimo Seri (Mayor of Fano): “When they called us mentioning the possibility of organizing the event, it took us a few seconds to accept. And if we did it, it is certainly because there is an important volleyball reality that works constantly, but also for the city that also lives for these initiatives, which can play a key role in the deseasonalization of tourism. Thanks to the League for the choice and thanks to the club for the organizational aspect.”
Barbara Brunori (Councillor for Sport of the Municipality of Fano): “I want to highlight one aspect, that is, what athletes represent for young spectators: they become models in all respects. When I see the matches live I see many people emotionally involved not only by the technical skills and the spectacle, but by the spirit of sacrifice, collaboration and teamwork. It becomes a moment of stimulus for those who want to become passionate about something. Sport saves many people and situations. Sport makes us feel better than we are. The four teams will play for an important title, I think it will be a moment of promoting well-being.”
Etienn Lucarelli (Tourism Councilor of the Municipality of Fano): “The city feels this desire for volleyball, the arena is always full, the club is passionately carrying forward a great project.
