Press conference this morning for Emma Villas Siena by Ricci Bus, official partner of the team. On this occasion, the center back of the Sienese team Riccardo Copelli and the spiker Federico Pellegrini analyzed the moment the Tuscan team was going through.
The white and blue team is preparing for the next championship match, scheduled for Sunday 11 February away against Ravenna. And precisely to make the trip, as in every match that Emma Villas plays away from Siena, the Tuscan team will travel with the Ricci Bus coach.
Central player Riccardo Copelli spoke like this about the next match: “Ravenna is among the strongest teams in the championship, in its roster there is a mix of young players with excellent qualities and more experienced volleyball players, such as Goi and Mengozzi. And then there is Alessandro Bovolenta, one of the best talents in all of Italian volleyball. We lost the first match against them by three sets to zero, we played a bad match and they came into that match with a lot of hunger. We didn’t do well in the ball exchange. I believe that in the second round Ravenna will be able to take a further step by having so many quality players.”
On the moment experienced by the Sienese team Copelli adds: “We need balance in making judgments – these are his words. – We weren’t phenomena before, when we won seven consecutive games, and we’re not a bad team now that we’ve lost a game. Brescia, then, is a very strong team, let’s say that we also provided them with the assist for the victory. After the match we immediately started again with hard work and working on the things that didn’t work well, with the aim of doing well in the next match.”
Spiker Federico Pellegrini said: “On Sunday we want to show our best game to be able to fight on equal terms against a very strong team. In this period we are well both physically and mentally, the defeat in the tiebreak against Brescia has not affected our certainties. We are working well and are ready to go to Ravenna, which is one of the strongest teams in the tournament together with Grottazzolina and Cuneo. We have to think about our game and improve further in view of the playoffs.”
