Another defeat for Conad, the fourth in a row now, which finishes the first round in eleventh place with sixteen points, out of the play off zone, but also saves them from the relegation zone.
Antonino Suraci, last night as opposite, commented on the match: “After the match against Ortona we needed character and today we put it on the field. It was a shame because in the fourth set we let the match slip away, also due to some fortuitous episodes, but volleyball is a sport of situations and you have to fight against those too. Today we have fallen into service which is usually a fundamental element for us; tonight, however, we compensated with other fundamentals. On Saturday we play at home again, we will face Prata di Pordenone and we will try to give our fans a good show.”
Nicolò Volpe, central defender of Volley Tricolore: “We are sorry for the result, because we played good volleyball, compared to the last two matches, and we expressed ourselves better. Brescia is a great team, we knew it and tonight it confirmed itself. However, looking at the glass half full, we leave with our heads held high because we played well.
On Saturday night we have another match to fight against Prata again. It will be tough because they are second in the standings, so they play very well and we will put all the aggression we can into trying to get a good result and we will take with us what we saw positively here in Brescia.”
