As Cuneo’s Under 20 team became National champions just like the first team of their club, Verona is analysing its situation. Verona qualified for the finals, the Junior League final eight, for the first time in its history. The club entered this big event as 8th team in the standing but managed to achieve sixth position in the end ahead of Mirandola and Piacenza.

“It’s been a very positive experience, both emotionally and technically – said coach Pes – We wanted to experience what it was like to take part in the national finals: the pressure probably influenced the performances of our first games but once we entered into the spirit of the competition we played at our level. I think that finishing sixth of Italy is a great result, we would never have thought it possible at the beginning of the season”.
