This morning Valsa Group coach Francesco Petrella spoke about the big match scheduled for December 26th against Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza.
“An important challenge awaits us – explains Petrella – we want to give continuity to the home victory against Trento. This match will define the grid for the Italian Cup, but let’s think about the pitch and our first objective is to approach it well and stay in the game in the right way. We played four tie-breaks in ten matches and I think that getting used to playing long matches and staying focused for a long time is important, matches in this Super League often last four or five sets and it’s good to know how to deal with them. The Piacenza players know each other well, they are a solid team with certainties both individually and as a game system, they are used to facing matches like the one on 26 December. We are preparing to reach the maximum, it will be up to us to play at a high level to be able to put them in difficulty. We want a PalaPanini that is still full, it will be one of those days when it is more beautiful to experience the atmosphere of Modena. We are training fully this week, the Super League is very challenging from a physical point of view and it is important to know how to cope with the tiredness that normally occurs during the season.”
