Having archived last Sunday’s defeat against Fano without drama, in this week’s midweek round, Avimecc Volley Modica will observe the rest round imposed by the calendar of the Blue group of the A3 series championship.
Coach Enzo Distefano’s boys, however, will return to the gym from today to prepare for the “PalaRizza” match scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 6pm against Just British Bari.
For the white and blues of the County, therefore, a “typical” week to prepare in the best possible way for the challenge against the Apulian team.
The defeat in Fano did not affect the morale of the team who, despite the setback, played a good match against one of the “battleships” of the Southern group of the Third Series championship.

We made the wrong approach to the match, where in the first set the blocking phase was not very effective and where we made a lot of mistakes by facilitating Fano in the side out phase. In the second set we were more careful and managed to react, we fought almost evenly and in the third set we won with the advantage. The fourth set – he continues – immediately got uphill. Fano was determined in the serving phase, but the performance of the set was almost similar to the previous one because as time went on we found solutions in attack, then a small injury to Putini allowed Fano to gain confidence and dig the decisive furrow in the score that we were never able to recover. I have nothing to reproach the boys who have proven to be a cohesive group with their own soul and they all respond well with important performances. We knew it would be a difficult away match and a setback in Fano could happen.
