Immediately great volleyball at PalAtigliana, in the first joint training session which saw coach Racaniello’s ShedirPharma Sorrento against Virtus Aversa for a derby experienced in one breath. Despite a difference of one category and a week of less work on their legs, Captain Pilotto and his teammates held their own against the Norman battleship, fighting point to point in 3 out of 4 sets.
The score smiled on the guests, but the large crowd that gathered in the stands was immediately enthusiastic about the quality of the exchanges and plays. The next test is scheduled for Saturday 23rd, when the team will be busy in Marcianise for a tasty preview of the championship.
Coach Racaniello starts with Bellucci as director in the diagonal with Cavasin, Gozzo and Disabato in the line-up, Garofolo and Pilotto in the centre, Prosperi libero. Aversa responds with Pinelli/Argenta, Lyutskanov/Canuto, Presta/Marra, Rossini libero.
The libero Francesco Prosperi: “Despite the result, we played a good test against a team of a higher category and further along in the preparation. We were attacked in almost all sets, then Lyutskanov on serve shifted the balance. The group is cohesive, we go down on the pitch with fun and carefreeness, and we have a great desire to win”
