The physical preparation of Cisterna Volley continues at a good pace. Coach Guillermo Falasca continues his work with the players and with the support of the staff members: the project takes shape and the work continues well while waiting to be able to welcome the boys involved with their respective national teams again.
«Physical preparation continues quite well and, while in this first period we prepared ourselves on work more linked to the mental and physical aspect, now we move more decisively to a type of training more oriented towards volleyball played, starting to push in a more intense on the fundamentals – explains coach Guillermo Falasca – There will be more and more elements of tactics and play, with lots of six against six to continue to gradually raise the level”.
Pavle Peric and Aleksandar Nedeljković are still involved with Serbia and will play (in Bari) the round of 16 against Serbia, Efe Bayram’s Turkey is involved in the round of 16 against Slovenia (in Varna, Bulgaria), a team in which there is he is also the physical trainer of Cisterna Volley Gioele Rosellini with the same role he holds in Superlega. As far as Jordi Ramon Ferragut’s Spain is concerned, his experience at the European championship is over and the Iberian player will be available to coach Falasca starting from the first days of next week.
«I have followed the European championship matches that have been played so far very carefully, obviously the interest was in particular for our four players who were involved – adds coach Guillermo Falasca – Clearly they will not all be here in Cisterna together because, in addition to the European championship, there are also qualifiers, but this problem is common to all teams. We are working with the inclusion of some interesting young people from Marino Volleyball, guys who have a great talent that can also be developed and in my opinion they can also give us a hand in the future.” Then the coach speaks directly to the fans.
«I would like to convey the concept that the more fans we will have cheering for us at the Cisterna sports hall, the better it will be for all of us – he concludes – the thing that I guarantee for the boys is that we will try to win as many matches as possible and, even if we shouldn’t win, the certain thing is that we will enjoy a good game to be together and experience the spectacle of the Italian Super League».
The Cisterna Volley champions will be in the city this evening (Friday) for Sport in Comune with the aim of letting the kids from Cisterna and all the fans play: the appointment is set for 8.30pm in Corso della Repubblica in front of the local police command.
