The third week of work begins for Vero Volley Monza. As the competitive season approaches, the commitments on the agenda for the men’s first team become increasingly intense with the group alternating between the Monza Arena and the “Seven Infinity” sports center in Gorgonzola.

Coach Massimo Eccheli, waiting to be able to count on the return of the athletes still involved with their respective national teams, has decided to focus the week with a weights session, technical training and swimming pool.

The roster is currently made up of Thomas Beretta, Gabriele Di Martino, Ibrahim Lawani, Francesco Comparoni, Marco Gaggini and Flavio Morazzini, as well as three Under 19 athletes Gabriele Mariani, Gabriele Pertoldi and Umberto Caporossi. Croatian Petar Visic joined the group today, awaiting the return of Gianluca Galassi, Fernando Kreling, Eric Loeppky, Stephen Maar, Luka Marttila, Arthur Szwarc and Ran Takahashi.

“I’m happy to be back and be here – the first words of the class of 1998 from Split – It’s nice to be back working with the staff and the kids: I’m fine, I’m excited. We have some young players with us, and this is good for both the first team and the club. There is still time to work hard together, to get to know each other while waiting for the other guys to arrive and to be able to do even better.”

The first official SuperLega match is set for October 22nd at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche, against the hosts Lube Volley.
