On the sultry evening of Tuesday 22 August, the rossoblù under the orders of Coach Marzola gathered at the Palasavena di San Lazzaro to officially start the 2023-2024 season. Those present, absent only Mauro Sacripanti, still engaged in the summer Beach Volley championship, after having undergone some medical tests and the usual photos, listened to the words of President Velabri, who once again underlined the desire to play a important year: “I expect a lot from this season, in Bologna we want to do well, because it’s a place that has lived on volleyball for years and we want to continue following that trail. Last year we had some satisfactions, this year we have to take another step”.
The season has therefore officially begun for Coach Marzola’s boys who will have to deal with a tough preparation under the watchful eyes of the athletic trainer Matteo Lunati who will allow them to slowly enter the technical aspects up to the first friendly, scheduled for 15 October.
These are Marzola’s words: “Soon we have 6 friendlies planned, still being defined. We try to manage the workload as correctly as possible to get to 15 October as best we can” and adds: “Our goal for this season is to do better than last year, we certainly have an interesting team, but we’ll find ourselves competing against everyone.”
