After fifteen years of volleyball played, from the under 12 to Serie A, always with the Diavoli Rosa shirt, the former captain of Gamma Chimica Brugherio, Massimo Piazza, after a year of running in the technical team of the first team, is ready to a new challenge, a new upgrade.
He will be Delmati’s deputy on the bench of Gamma Chimica Brugherio in the 2023/2024 season of the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship.
Perfectly embodying the colors and spirit of the Diavoli Rosa, Piazza is the right figure to bring the experience and experience of the field to the bench as well, with the aim of being an important point of union between players and the technical team. But not only. For years Piazza has been one of the coaches on the launch pad of the Diavoli Rosa youth sector, a reservoir from which he will be able to draw aptitude and experience which, combined with his continuous studies, will be of great support for coach Delmati and for the work of the first team.
Coach Piazza’s statements: ′′ I’m very excited for the imminent start of next season and for the new role I’ll play. After my first experience within the Serie A staff, I am very happy with the promotion to the role of second coach that the club has offered me and for this I thank you very much. During the summer break I had the opportunity to talk a lot with Davide and I immediately understood a lot of professionalism and competence; my will is to help him as much as possible this season and learn a lot from a coach like him. I’ve known many of the members of the new squad for a long time and I can’t wait to get to know the new additions. I will always be at their disposal to help them achieve the goals we set for themselves, putting at their service the field experience I’ve acquired playing volleyball and the skills I’m developing as a coach.
