The Arena di Verona is ready to host the inaugural match of EuroVolley 2023. On Tuesday 15 August, at 8.00 pm, the women’s national teams of Italy and Romania will compete inside the Verona monument. It will be a unique event for volleyball.
An epochal page in the history of sport will be written: the amphitheater has not hosted a sporting event since 1988, when the men’s national teams of the USA and the USSR took the field.
In September 2020, the Arena was granted for the Men’s Super Cup, but unfortunately bad weather prevented the outdoor Final from being held.
Today, after 35 years, history is finally repeating itself. Sport is once again the protagonist in one of the most beautiful game frames in the world. The images will go around all the continents and will be a wonderful international showcase for the volleyball movement. A fantastic opportunity to experience all together, to support one of our national teams, but above all because volleyball will be the only sports movement that will return to the Arena.
It will be a great party, a memorable evening, an unmissable appointment.
