Cisterna Volley continues to take shape, the Pontine team preparing to face the next Superlega season at the arena in via delle Province in Cisterna. Cisterna Volley took part in the Bologna Volley Market where it presented the list of players who will be entrusted to coach Guillermo Falasca then, in the past few hours, it also added the Serbian spiker Pavle Peric, a player who will be available to the Spanish coach from the first championship day scheduled for October 22 against Trento. «I am convinced that the team we have set up will be able to give us important satisfactions this season even if it is clear that we are talking about the most beautiful and difficult championship in the world so it is clear that the pitch will always give the last word and judge our work – explains Candido Grande, sports director of Cisterna Volley – In recent months we have had a phase in which we have not been able to work while waiting for the resolution of the corporate issue, it was not easy to overcome that phase, then we had to move silently but promptly and in harmony with coach Falasca to be able to close agreements with some players who understood the situation and knew and above all wanted to wait for us. I am convinced that the public will be able to enjoy seeing first of all a show of absolute level at the Cisterna stadium, this is also due to the incredible value of the teams and athletes we will face, but then I am also sure that our fans will be able to get passionate about this team and they will have the will and the pride to support it also because it is the only one in the Lazio region to play in the Superlega».
In the control room is the setter Davide Saitta, while the spikers are the Turkish Bayram Efe, the Spanish Jordi Ramos Ferragut, the Serbian Pavle Peric and the young blue Alessandro Finauri. The opposites are the French Theo Faure and the Austrian Michael Czerwinski while in the center are Andrea Rossi and Daniele Mazzone. The free players are Alessandro Piccinelli and Saverio De Santis. «We still have to complete the squad by adding another setter and another central player but we are working to complete a competitive formation for the start of preparation – concludes the sporting director – as far as the athletes already on our roster are concerned, I can say that I am very satisfied with the choices we also made with the coach and I’m sure that after an initial, physiological, acclimatization phase, the players will be able to express themselves at their best. We would like to be able to count on an ever-growing support from the public and I am convinced that the team we have set up will entertain the fans».
