12 years are a long time and they are exactly the same ones in which Pietro Palmisano wore the Volley Team Club shirt.
12 years traveling around Veneto and Italy, between victories, defeats and emotions that will remain written in the history of our club and yours.
The time has come for Pietro to hang up his knee pads (perhaps, not completely). Arrived in San Donà di Piave in 2011 he played in the youth team until his debut in A3 in December 2019 against Virtus Fano.
We interviewed him trying to collect these 12 years between moments lived, teammates and coaches.
Hi Peter! Reliving your career, what is the memory you are most attached to?
“My career at San Donà has been really long to limit myself to a simple memory. There are many, such as the promotion to Serie C rather than the salvation that we earned the year just ended and that I was able to experience from protagonist. But if I had to go and “fish” the memory perhaps dearest to me, it could be the U16 National Finals in Latina (2017)”
Which coach made the most impression on you?
“The coaches I’ve had I carry them all in my heart, for various reasons: those who made me grow on a personal level, those who changed my role in the U16 by making a small bet and those who put so much trust in me by letting me do the captain for the last years of youth. I really wouldn’t be able to find just one.”
If you had to name the three teammates you are particularly close to, who would you say?
“Also in this case I bring friendships with me from the youth team. Absolutely say Simone Cherin, Lorenzo Bernardi and Federico Lorenzon”
And the strongest player you’ve ever played with?
“In terms of athletic performance, I would absolutely say Edvinas Vaskelis. In reality, I’m a lover of more “balanced” players who, in my opinion, make the difference in this category”.
Is there a victory or a match that you particularly hold in your heart?
“Probably my last match at PalaBarbazza, against Garlasco… the previous week was really complicated in terms of the locker room.”
