With Michele Viganò’s promotion to the first team, the middle blocker department of Gamma Chimica Brugherio closes for the 2023/24 season.

Born in 2005, Viganò began his journey in the rosanero jersey from minivolley, from there then the entire youth process, following in the footsteps of Piazza and many of our other boys who then realized their dream of playing in Serie A from minivolley.

And what a youthful path that of Viganò … Together with Carpita, Selleri and Marini he was the protagonist, as captain, of the first championship of the Company in the 2018/19 season in the under 14s, from there followed two more, consecutive, in the under 17s, graduating three times, in three seasons, as Italian Champion. In recent years he has gained experience in the Serie B championship and is now ready to make his debut on the Serie A stage. The calmness and reserve that distinguish him off the pitch vanish in the match where Michele plays competitive spirit and grit well with a technique and an instinct in attack that have brought him here today, at the gates of Serie A.

Gamma Chimica Brugherio will have, with great pride, in the squad for the 2023/24 season in the Serie A3 Credem Banca Championship the central Michele Viganò.

Coach Durand on Viganò’s promotion to the first team: “Michele is a player who has grown up since minivolley in our ranks and has always stood out in the youth leagues. So this year he lands in the first team to the great satisfaction of all our staff. He is an excellent striker with great anticipation skills and I am sure that during the year he will be able to grow a lot by learning from the more experienced players on our roster”.

Greetings from Michele Viganò: “For me, being able to play in Serie A at the Diavoli means a lot; first of all it demonstrates the fact that trust has been placed in me and this pushes me to do more and more of my best, moreover it is a great emotion because it was the dream of the little me who went to see the B1 dei Diavoli on Saturday evening. For this season I hope to be able to grow both from a volleyball and human point of view and I also hope that our group becomes very united and that together we can achieve good goals. I want to thank the club for the trust that has been placed in me and also my parents who have given me the opportunity to cultivate my dream”.
