The final phase of the Volleyball Nations League 2023 is upon us with four red and whites still in contention in the stage competition that began in June. In the Quarter Finals in a single match on the field of Gdansk, in Poland, at 5 pm tomorrow, Wednesday 19 July, central defender Barthelemy Chinenyeze’s France will challenge the United States steamroller, while at 8 pm, on the same taraflex, Italy will face off , orphan of centre-back Simone Anzani but with two cooks in relationship, namely the libero Fabio Balaso and the spiker Mattia Bottolo, and the Argentina of the director Luciano De Cecco, captain of Albiceleste and of Cucine Lube Civitanova. The two selections crossed paths at their debut on Tuesday 6 June in Canada. The first match saw the South American team prevail 3-0 (25-22, 25-23 and 25-18) on a dull Italvolley, but Fefè De Giorgi’s men grew step by step in the tournament. The Bulgaria of the spiker Alex Nikolov and the Cuban group of the fullback Marlon Yant were eliminated and out of the best eight teams.
