«I want to give my contribution and continue to grow with the advice of the coach, the staff and my new teammates». The Austrian Michael Czerwinski, 20 years old, is the new opposite of Cisterna Volley in Superlega. 206 centimeters tall, after his experience in HotVolleys Wien in the 2022/23 season and the last in VCA Amstetten, where he also played in the Challenge Cup, Czerwinski is ready to join the other second place in the team led by the Spanish Guillermo Falasca , or the French Theo Faure (born in 1999 and 202 centimeters tall).
«I’m always very concentrated and focused on work: I’m lucky that my job is volleyball which is also my great passion, so I find it quite pleasant – explains the Austrian opposite – since I was a child I’ve always dreamed of become a great volleyball player and, with commitment and a lot of passion, I’m trying to become one by working on this thing every day. What player am I? I like to see myself as a very powerful and quick opponent who doesn’t care too much about how the ball is lifted. Why? Easy, in this way I try to fix things in order to also try to get an advantage from the balls that don’t arrive perfect. I also like to work well with the block and try to be tricky with my serve».
At the moment Czerwinski is responding to the call-up with the Austrian Under-22 national team for a collegiate but in the past he has also worn the senior national team. «I had the honor of playing with my nation’s senior national team and for me it was a great emotion, I can say that even in that circumstance I was able to grow and steal from my teammates with my eyes – concludes the Austrian opposite – The Super League? It will certainly be another very demanding challenge, a new championship, among other things the best in the world, a new club and new teammates: I will have to adapt very quickly and try to give my contribution to the team”.
