Giacomo Russo comes from Serie B (group H) but also from an infinite series of satisfactions at a youth level. Gratifications obtained both with that forge of talent that is Volley Meta, and with the various national blues. Central, born in 2005, credited with 205 cm in height, the talent from Campania will play away from home for the first time and will be divided between the first team of A2 Credem Banca, the second team of Serie B, and the related Under 19 youth team.

Russo, in 2021, played the European Championship reserved for the Under 17s; in 2022 the same competition but reserved for the Under 18s, with coach Zanin and the new “Lupo” Pardo Mati. This summer the same “company”, again Zanin as coach and Mati as a colleague in the department, but a new category, Under 19 (recently a collegiate in Tivoli Terme, which ended on 26 June). A purchase that confirms the “nose” of the D.S. Pagliai and all the Lupi staff, always attentive to quality young people to grow and enhance.

“He’s a very interesting boy, we’ve been following him since last year and we also saw him in the recent Under 19 national finals. He’ll give us a big hand in all championships. He will be called to hard work but has very large growth margins “, so on Russo the coach of the A2 series Kemas Lamipel, Michele Bulleri.

“I certainly consider the last season to be good, for the results obtained together with the Meta teammates and for personal performance”.

“I convinced myself to switch to Lupi S. Croce due to the seriousness of the Company and the project they presented to me””.

“As for next year, I hope to settle in well, since it will be the first season away from home. I will do my best to continue my growth path, to give my contribution to the team, for myself, and to repay the trust of the management of S. Croce sull’Arno, who strongly wanted me in the team”.

“In the meantime, I can tell the fans that I really want to fight to bring the Wolves name to the top and that I will always give my best”.
