The calendar of the 79th Serie A1 SuperLega Credem Banca championship (2023/24 season) has been made official today. Itas Trentino men’s reigning Italian champions will begin defending the Scudetto which they will wear on their shirts on 22 October in Cisterna di Latina; the home debut is instead scheduled seven days later against Taranto. For the first big match, it will only be necessary to wait for the next round, when Trento will be a guest of Verona, in the traditional Adige derby. The others: with Piacenza on the fourth day (November 12), with Milan on the fifth (November 19), then three in a row; Civitanova at eighth (December 3), Modena at ninth (December 10) and Perugia at tenth (December 17).

The dates: the regular season will develop in just over four months, between October 22 and March 3 (date of the last day); only three midweek rounds scheduled: 15 November 2023, 24 January 2024 and 14 February 2024. The planning also provides for another day of competitions not included in a normal weekend: the eleventh day, scheduled in any case on a day public holiday (Tuesday 26 December) and to be played in Padua. The 2023 Italian Super Cup, which will adopt the Final Four formula for the eighth time, will take place between Tuesday 31 October and Wednesday 1 November, preceded by the weekend dedicated to the second day; Itas Trentino will once again be among the four participants and will face Sir Safety Susa Perugia in the semi-final in a venue that has yet to be made official. The 2024 edition of the Italian Cup will adopt the traditional formula, also used in the previous season, involving only the top eight of the first leg (which closes on 26 December). The quarter-finals, defined according to the rankings obtained after the eleventh round of the regular season, will therefore be played in a single match at the home of the best classified on Tuesday 2 or Wednesday 3 January. The Final Four is scheduled between Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January in a venue yet to be made official.
