Trentino Volley BIG Camp

Countdown ended for the 2023 edition, the sixteenth ever, of the Trentino Volley BIG Camp. In fact, the first of the six weekly summer rounds scheduled in rapid sequence for the historic yellow and blue club summer camp dedicated to Beach, Indoor and Green Volley (hence the acronym B.I.G) will kick off on Sunday 2 July on Monte Bondone in Trento.
The Gialloblù summer camp, which will last until 12 August and develop over thirty-six days of activity, has now become a pleasant habit for the club in via Trener, but also for the participants and their families. As per tradition, it is dedicated to boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 17 who want to spend their holidays surrounded by nature. Scrupulousness, attention to every detail and attention to detail and everyone’s well-being have always been distinctive features of the initiative that explain the great appeal it can boast.
Even before starting, the BIG Camp 2023 will in fact go down in history as the one that recorded the highest number of registrations ever and is already “sold out”: a total of 1,080 (160 more than in 2022) distributed over six rounds, with the peak relating to the third (period between July 16 and 22), fourth (July 23-29) and sixth week (August 6-12), with over 180 participants. The event attracts young people from all over Italy (Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Umbria, Sardinia and Veneto are the regions that bring the largest number of participants to Bondone), but it is also very popular abroad, as demonstrated by the requests received from Austria, Belgium , Bulgaria, Germany, England, Lithuania Luxembourg, Portugal, Czech Republic, Spain and Switzerland.
The arrival of the boys at the Chalet Caminetto and the Chalet Dolomiti, the hotels that will host the camp participants and which will act as the project’s headquarters, is expected to start at 3 pm on Sunday; the structures that from the following day will become the center of activity of the BIG Camp will be the beach volleyball courts, the putting greens and the 9×9 regulatory ones built immediately near the Hotel Montana.
The five days of activity of each shift will be characterized by the game of volleyball both in the morning and in the afternoon, but also by moments of leisure and discussion with the weekly BIG Guest (a SuperLega champion) and by a trip to admire the luxuriant nature that characterizes Monte Bondone in this period of the year.
