Another experienced player for Sieco Impavida Ortona who formalizes the signing of the strong Apulian spiker Francesco Del Vecchio.
Born in 1987, with his 195 centimeters in height, Francesco Del Vecchio meets volleyball in his Terlizzi starting his climb towards the Olympus of volleyball from the Under 15. With the Megaton, this is the name of the local volleyball team Terlizzi, Del Vecchio also finds a place in Serie C and it is also thanks to the young Francesco that the team becomes the author of an irresistible climb that leads them, in a handful of seasons, to arrive in Serie B1.
For the first time in Serie A, Del Vecchio experiences it a few kilometers from home, in Gioia Del Colle. The following season in Molfetta there is a desire to do things big and so Del Vecchio agrees to go down a step to play in Serie B in a team that however has big goals. Molfetta keeps his promises and strong in his new seat four takes the lift. At the first attempt he is immediately promoted to Serie A2. A season to acclimatize and then Del Vecchio & Co. are ready for the next upgrade that will take them straight to the Superlega. The distance only lasts one season and in 2019/2020 he is back in Puglia but in Castellana Grotte in Serie A2. Once again, Del Vecchio decides to go down a step to return to Molfetta who has since returned to Serie B.
