What is the effect of wearing the shirt of a team that has achieved very important results in recent years?
Adis Lagumdzija: “As I said at the time of the announcement, I feel so much joy for this opportunity. I want to do my best so that Lube continues to compete to collect the best both in Italy and abroad”.
Which club competition appeals to you the most?
“In Italy the level of play is very high, but what makes me dream is the Champions League because the idea of challenging the best European teams gives me so many stimuli. I think this Lube can go a long way even outside the borders!”.
You are now at home in SuperLega. Do you feel different than in your debut year in Italy? How has this experience changed you?
“In fact, we’re talking about my fourth year in the SuperLega, which is no small thing. Each season has given me the opportunity to grow, even if the first experience in Monza, due to Covid and the restrictions, I lived between home and building, sacrificing social relationships. This is why I was able to perfect my relationship with the Italian language only at a later time. My style of play has gradually improved as well. In the last year I have taken care of the serve a lot “.
You have faced Lube several times, is there a particular feature that surprised you about the red and white team?
“As a rival, Lube can hurt you, but don’t be surprised, because you already expect the best from such a well-equipped team. We had to prepare the challenges with Civitanova without neglecting any detail. The red and whites are always among the most insidious teams… this also applies to next year”.
With the Piacenza shirt you experienced a magical evening at the Eurosuole Forum, blitz at the tie break and 35 personal points.
“I only remember that everything was fine for me and I made good use of many balls supplied by Brizard. I learned my score only at the end of the match, but already on the pitch the feeling was that I had interpreted the challenge in the best possible way. Certainly, beyond the personal points, with that performance I attracted the attention of Lube”.
What are your plans for the summer with the Turkish national team?
“A summer full of commitments with Turkey is expected. The round of the European Golden League went well and now the Final Four awaits me, with a view to the Challenger Cup. Then the European Championships and the qualifications for the Olympics. Unfortunately I will only arrive in Civitanova in October, but the enthusiasm will be great”.

“Even I can’t wait to embrace the red and white fans, I’ve heard many good things about them from my roommate in Modena, Dragan Stankovic, former Lube flag. I’m a simple guy, I love reading and I relax by playing video games with friends or walking with my girlfriend”.
