Azaria Gonzi, for you a sort of return to origins takes shape: how do you experience your return to Emma Villas Volley Siena?
“I’m very happy, going back to Siena is like having closed a cycle. I was a kid when I played in the Emma Villas youth sector, now I’m back with greater awareness and with additional baggage not only from a technical point of view but also from a character point of view “.
What do you bring back from all the sporting and professional experiences you have had around Italy?
“A lot of friendships and experiences that overall made me grow and mature. I was coached by good coaches from whom I learned a lot.”
What does returning to Siena mean to you at this point in your career?
“Even right now, while I’m talking to her, I’m wearing the Emma Villas sweatshirt. This is to tell you how attached I am to this reality. Going back to PalaEstra will be a great emotion, there is good support. There will be peace of mind playing at home, I’ll play for the shirt and in this case it’s not a figure of speech. And there is nothing more beautiful than this.”
