The semi-final poule of the Serie A3 Credem Banca 2022/23 Playoffs for Farmitalia Saturnia kicks off tomorrow, Sunday 30 April, against a respectable opponent, Abba Pineto. The spotlights will turn on tomorrow on the two contenders at 6pm sharp for Race 1 at Pineto’s home and the two teams will then face each other on May 3 for Race 2 at the PalaCatania. The white-blues are preparing to face one of the most difficult matches of the season, against a team built to climb to A2 and which, in the Italian Cup, has already demonstrated all its value in a negative period for the Etna team. But at Farmitalia there is no fear, as Sporting Director Piero D’Angelo recounts: “They are probably the strongest team in both A3 groups, but we, on the other hand, are experiencing an excellent period of form, we are very we are loaded and we have all the credentials to play it to the end. The pitch will tell who is the strongest and we are convinced that we have all the credentials to go to the final and get promoted to A2”.
The players share the same opinion, led by Peppe Zito, the Libero from Catania: “They beat us in the semi-final of the Italian Cup proving that they have something more than us, but tomorrow we will play with the right malice and with a great desire for revenge to redeem the bad result obtained in the Italian Cup. We are in a good moment, we have regained confidence and peace of mind and we want to reach the final.”
