The program of the Del Monte® Super Cup dedicated to Serie A2 has been defined. The trophy, now in its third edition, will see Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia host the Pool Libertas Cantù, with kick-off at 19.00 on Monday 10 April.
The Pala Maiata in Vibo Valentia will therefore be the stage for the competition: in fact, Tonno Callipo, already qualified as winner of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2, won the Regular Season four days in advance, thus obtaining the opportunity to play this too home trophy. In fact, the formula of the Del Monte® Supercoppa A2 foresees that the holder of the Italian Cup challenges the winner of the Regular Season, and in the event that the two teams coincide, the runner-up in the regular season would participate in the Supercoppa. The Regular Season of Serie A2 Credem Banca, although not yet concluded (last day on the calendar this Sunday) has already decreed that Pool Libertas Cantù will be in second place in the rankings. Libertas Brianza will therefore be able to try to bring the first trophy in its history to Lombardy.
The event will therefore be organized by the Serie A Volleyball League in collaboration with Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, and will always be broadcast on Volleyballworld.tv, with enhanced television production for the occasion.
