Perugia had a positive start to its challenge cup campaign. It won 3-1 at the expense of Zhlobin in Byelorussia: 20-25, 15-25, 27-25, 22-25. Jan Stockr did made a few mistake on the serve but he was Perugia’s top scorer.
“We dictated the play – said coach Sartoretti – We want to do well in the Challenge Cup. We imposed our game, we failed to seal it in the third, struggling on their serve. But in the fourth, the tightest, we did well and won the game”.
