“Enough, now I have to say something – said chairman Vullo – Last Sunday we had already had to deal with an unbelievable refereeing. We have been quiet so far but we can’t accept to be penalised every Sunday. We work, invest money and passion like all the others and we can’t afford to see our work jeopardised by incomprehensible referee decisions”.
The reaction of coach Cantagalli was more even-tempered: “We played very well. Shame we lost the first after leading from start to finish. The game would have been different if we had won it. Still, my team was eager to win guided by Rodrigues, who played as a true leader. As for the refs, I don’t like to talk about them. What happened in the second set was obviously disappointed. I am sorry my yellow card cost us the set but, I really feel I haven’t done much, and it came about directly, without any previous warning. We already have enough problems as it is, we don’t need the contribution of the referees on top of it”.
