Allianz Powervolley Milano is pleased to announce the renewal of Yuki Ishikawa’s contract for the next two sports seasons. The contract extension was signed with satisfaction by both parties, and is a clear signal of the intentions of the club of president Lucio Fusaro regarding the ever-increasing commitment for the coming seasons.
For 8 years in Italy (the seventh consecutive), for the number 14 in Milan the future is still blue-and-white; the Japanese spiker, in fact, will wear the Allianz Powervolley shirt for the fourth consecutive season, a shirt with which he has played 67 games so far, collecting 820 points, a fundamental confirmation in coach Piazza’s tactical chessboard.
For the Milanese club, Ishikawa’s signing represents on the one hand the company’s desire to be a point of arrival for great athletes on the international scene, on the other the confirmation not only of the talent and qualities of the captain of the Japanese national team, but also of the role of leader who has now carved out within the team.
A path among the Milanese ranks that has always seen him protagonist, from the victory of the CEV Challenge Cup to access to the Final Four of the Italian Cup for the second consecutive time, making concrete the requests of the technical and corporate staff: the Japanese hammer, in fact, especially in the latter championship, he is one of the best players in the Ambrosian squad in terms of performance and continuity.
«I’m very happy to stay in Milan again next year – comments Ishikawa – I get on very well with the club and the city is beautiful to me, so I’m very happy. So far we’re playing a good championship, I remember my first time in Milan and since then I’ve improved a lot, I’ve grown year after year and I want to keep working to raise the bar even further next season.”
