In the sign of continuity and trust, the 3-0 trimmed by Vigilar Fano to Geetit Bologna, a very different result from the last appearances in which the Fanesi had always suffered the return of their opponents and then prevailed at a distance. It went differently with Bologna: Vigilar played point by point to then give the winning swerve in the second part of the various partials. The Friulian setter Nicola Zonta is quite clear about what the virtussini’s objectives were: “We wanted to cancel our drops from the previous matches – says Zonta – we succeeded without losing any set”. The virtussini once again had their winning weapon in the service: “We knew we had to push in the serve – continues the director from Fano – to prevent the opponent from playing close to the net, as we were aware that they could have put us in difficulty”.
Once again the product of the Virtussino nursery, Federico Roberti, was one of the protagonists entering the first set and playing the whole match: “The coach knows he can count on everyone – says Roberti – the squad is large and everyone knows what to Do. The positive thing about the match was that we avoided the usual blackouts, as well as playing at a good pace. Then I have to say that individuality made the difference”. We can safely say that against the Romagnoli Vigilar Fano showed great maturity: “I confirm – concludes the 2004 class – we played at a good level and we are in great confidence. We will then have to be good at not underestimating anyone, also because our opponents have strengthened”.
