Verona was defeated yesterday in the home of the Italian champions, Piacenza, in straight sets.
“We certainly did not play a good game – said Daniele Sottile – It was meant to be an easy one to play mentally, we could have been more daring, but instead we struggled from the start and never reacted. Piacenza did have an excellent game on the serve but I think it was more a matter of Verona not believing in its chances”. Verona will host Latina on Friday.
