Activity resumed this morning at Sir Safety Susa Perugia.
After four regenerating days of complete rest over the New Year’s Eve, the Block Devils returned this morning to the PalaBarton headquarters for the first session of the new year.
Under the orders of the athletic trainer Chittolini, the team carried out a session in the weight room to regain rhythm and muscle tone, in the afternoon on the central field of the Pian di Massiano facility, technical training was scheduled.
The Juventus engine is therefore running again with coach Anastasi and his staff who have planned the work according to the debut in 2023 on Sunday 8 January away to Verona and in general in view of a January certainly not as intense as the three months precedents, but still full of important matches. In the Superlega Perugia will play four matches with demanding away matches in Verona, Modena (both with live RaiSport) and Milan (in the ever-fascinating setting of the Assago Forum) interspersed with the home match against Padova. Matches in which the Block Devils will try to continue their extremely positive path so far and to keep the top of the standings firmly.
There are also two commitments in the Champions League with Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia awaited by the last two matches of Pool E, the first away in Ljubljana and the second at the PalaBarton against Duren. There is the first place issue to be closed as soon as possible (Perugia lacks two points for mathematical certainty) to conquer the direct pass for the quarter-finals.
Naturally, all of this also with an eye to the future. Anastasi himself did not hide that now the main objective in chronological order is the Final Four of the Italian Cup scheduled for the end of February and therefore certainly the slow pace of this period will allow the Juventus technical staff to be able to aim for the attention also on analytical and team aspects to be oiled and improved.
