The FIVB has formalized the programming and dates of the next Club World Cup, scheduled for the second consecutive time in Betim, Brazil, from 7 to 11 December 2022, which will involve two SuperLega Credem Banca clubs, Itas Trentino (Pool B ) and Sir Safety Susa Perugia (Pool A).
Qualified for the competition as second and third of the last CEV Champions League, Trento and Perugia will be on the field from 8 to 10 December in the “Pool Phase”: given the “rest” turn on the first day of Wednesday 7. Pool B matches will open every day, Pool A will play next. The match between Trentino Itas and the Iranian Champions of Asia of the Paykan Club at 22.00 Italian will be the first match on Thursday 8, followed a few hours later by Sir Safety Susa Perugia who at 1.00 on Friday 9 will face the Brazilians of Volei Renata. Double Italy-Brazil match in the matches on Friday evening, with Itas still opening the dances at 22.15 against Itambé Minas, and Sir to close the evening against the hosts and reigning champions of Sada Cruzeiro, at 1.15 di Saturday 10 December.
The first two classified of each Pool will access the Semifinals, which will be played on the evening of Saturday 10 December (10.15 pm) and in the early hours on Sunday 11 (1.15 am). The event will be closed by the Finals on Sunday 11, with the Final valid for the bronze medal, scheduled for 5.00 pm, and the final at 8.00 pm. The Trentino club, in its tenth participation in the tournament, will pursue its sixth title, while the Umbrians will look for a debut with a bang in their first participation.
