Crema unexpectedly won ‘its’ Taverna trophy by sweeping Taranto 3-0 in the final (19-25; 22-25; 18-25). After getting rid of Verona in the semi final, the team had an excellent performance, be that in dig and attack. It played with great determination from start to finish.
Crema’s Michele Baranowicz received the best setter award. The best libero was Antonio Ricciardello from Taranto, the best spiker Rivaldo from Taranto too, while the MVP award was given to Crema’s Roberto Cazzaniga.
