The fourth week of preparation for ShedirPharma Folgore Massa ends with a joint training played at PalaJacazzi against Wow Green House Aversa.
The final result (4-0) smiles to the hosts, but coach Nicola Esposito was able to draw several positive indications, rotating all the players and perfecting the agreements between the different elements of the new roster available.
First set started off on the wrong foot: some ingenuity and many mistakes, with Aversa ending easily 25-13.
Starace climbs to the chair with valuable pipes in quick sequence, Buzzi’s ace keeps on +2 (14-16), but Lyutskanov and Gasparini are more cynical and Aversa closes the double advantage (25-20).
Right approach for the Thunderbolt in the third set: Maretti and Cuminetti bomb up to the maximum advantage (4-10). Aprea alternates with Piedepalumbo, in the middle Buzzi and Imperatore assert themselves, but the Normans force further and put the arrow. Donati contains, but it is not enough with Aversa to close 25-19.
History repeats itself in the fourth set, with the Thunderbolt always ahead dragged by Maretti’s 8 points in the partial. There is room for Grimaldi in place 2, Cuminetti puts us “garra” ending up on the billboards for a recovery worthy of his compatriot Otamendi, and we go to the double set-point at 22-24. Aversa mends the tear and overtakes (25-24), it goes on point by point, and on the fifth useful occasion the hosts close with the ace of 30-28.
The words of middle blocker Daniele Buzzi: “In the first set we were a little contracted, making many mistakes and not showing the right malice, especially in attack. Little by little we unlocked ourselves, improving our serve and reception. We played better, and put a strong opponent like Aversa in difficulty “
