Another important renewal for Allianz Powervolley Milano which confirms Nicola Pesaresi as libero in jersey number 18. Unquestionably a great certainty and an important presence for the group was that of Nicola Pesaresi both on and off the court, who, over and over again during the past seasons, made a difference not only from a technical point of view, but also from a human point of view, transmitting to the entire team the confidence necessary to face the most topical moments of the championship. A growth path that wants to continue and expand as much as possible. The beginning of a new season always decrees new goals and new ambitions that Nicola is ready to embrace and achieve together with his travel companions.
Nicola Pesaresi, renewal with Milan for the fourth consecutive year. A backbone of the Allianz Powervolley, what does this extension mean for you?
It means a lot because my desire was to stay in Milan, then continue a certain type of path that started a few years ago with this company. I am happy to stay.
We imagine that staying in a club for that long also means looking for new stimuli season after season and setting personal goals to achieve. Is that so for you? What goals have you set yourself on an individual level?
It’s true, let’s say that every year a new season starts, but that’s not all. Indeed, something new for each of us starts again, certainly at an individual level, but above all at a team level: new players arrive and new assemblies have to be created. Surely one goal is not to set limits, to start over with a larger baggage behind me than what I had the year before and the year before.
We know the team goals by now and they point upwards. In Milan, we repeat, you are one of the cornerstones also within the group, especially for the younger ones for whom you set up, together with Matteo Piano, a point of reference. Do you feel this responsibility?
More than responsibility, I experience it as an added value. Together with Matteo we entered this part and it is something more that we can give to the youngest and newcomers, we try to make them feel good and welcome them into the group, this also allows us to express our game in a certain way. in the field.
