Ten years of Delta Volley Porto Viro. The anniversary falls precisely in these hours, given that the signature on the deed of foundation of the company was affixed on July 12, 2012, and in fact the Polesano club has recently kicked off the celebrations on its social channels by presenting the logo and the hashtag of the ten-year.
As for the logo – which will stand out on the first team jerseys for the whole of next season – the choice was to focus on simplicity and elegance, with a majestic Delta letter intersected at number ten, under which the dates of this special birthday, 2012-2022. On the other hand, the official hashtag, # DeltaDa10, is more irreverent, which plays on a double meaning: “since ten” does not refer only to the years of life of the company, but also expresses the “vote in the report card” to what was the path of the Delta Volley to date.
In the coming months, other initiatives will follow to remember the protagonists and celebrate the successes of this first piece of black fuchsia history. The round figure is a milestone that deserves to be celebrated in grand style, of course, but woe to say that the circle closes here: if there is something that the President Veronese and his entourage have shown in recent years it is that for the Delta Volley there are no final chapters, for better or for worse, but only new beginnings.
This explains the extraordinary rise of the club, which in less than two decades has managed to climb five categories. After the debut season, in 2013/2014 comes the first promotion, from Serie D to Serie C. A leap that immediately becomes double because Porto Viro the following year wins: he wins the Serie C championship, the Coppa Veneto, the Coppa Triveneto and takes home an excellent second place in the Coppa delle Alpi.
The adventure begins in the national categories: salvation in B2 in 2015/2016 and especially in the newly formed (and more competitive) Serie B the following year. Meanwhile, ambitions grow and in 2017/2018 the nerofucsia are very close to achieving the two great seasonal goals: they close the Final Four of the Italian Cup organized at home in second place and see the promotion fade only in the playoff final.
