Middle blocker Fabio Trevisiol returns to wear the Volley Team Club shirt after a year on loan in Serie B in Portogruaro.
Fabio’s first words:
Hi Fabio, can you give us an overview of your volleyball experience?
“I started my career unfortunately not very early, in fact the first year of volleyball (with the VTC) was the last of U17 in the 15/16 season. My luck is that the VTC gave me the opportunity to be part of a team that had participated in the national finals in the last two years and that would have been the goal of that season as well. In the following seasons I began to be more and more part of the base sextet. Over the years I have always played in San Donà in Serie C (lost the final promotion to B against Portogruaro, last year’s team), then promotion to C and then the following year I made the C (season closed for covid).
After a year and a half stop I went to Portogruaro in B where I had a good season as a starter, given the novelty of the category. This has been a season of great growth since I had the opportunity to play and compare myself with a heterogeneous group of athletes, from veterans of the category, to emerging young players up to players who dropped from Serie A. This allowed us to take away many satisfaction, fight and be feared by all teams regardless of their position in the standings. All thanks to the relationship that was created with the team both in the gym and outside, which I hope to be able to find / create in San Donà. ”
What prompted you to return to San Donà?
“The choice to return to VTC is not only linked to the leap in category, but also to the possibility of training, playing and being part of a professional team. A great stimulus, without a shadow of a doubt, is the possibility of being coached by one top level sportsman like Paolo Tofoli who I’m sure will be able to bring out the best in me not only technically but also as a person “.
It will be your first year in Serie A. What are your goals?
“There are an infinite number of goals, first of all there is my individual technical, tactical and physical growth since this is my first year in a Serie A and the desire to get involved and give it my all”.
