Modena Volley announced it reached an agreement with francesco Biribanti, who signed a two-year contract. Born in Terni in 1976, he plays outside hitter. “Biri” started to play at 13 and at 15 he was already in Treviso, where he stayed five years. Then, he went round Italy (Loreto, Fano, Ravenna, Palermo, Latina, Verona, Corigliano and last season in Cuneo). He counts 60 caps with the Italian national team, and won the European Championships 2003.
“Ever since I was a kid, I have always admired Modena – explained Biribanti – I have to admit that this is a great honour for me to wear this shirt. The people here convey something special”.
