“It has not been easy to win over tough oppositions – said GM Nico Fraraccio – but in the end we managed to keep a fundamental player that many wanted to take away from us”. Indeed, Gemmi will play for the third consecutive seasons at Isernia. He will be the captain in 2009-10.
“My decision was not only dictated by volleyball but also by the rest of my life – said Gemmi – I found myself at a crossroad: I could stay at Isernia or be tempted to accept one of the many offers received. I thought over it and I asked myself: Does it have any sense to play for another team, wearing another shirt and come back in Isernia as an opponent when I have everything I need here. The answer? It does not make sense”.
