The Under 18 team coached by Burattini qualified to the national finals, which will take place in Trapani. This makes it a hat trick for Trentino’s youngsters as the Under 14 and 20 had already completed the same achievement.
Burattini’s boys won their inter-regional group in Cordenons (near Prdenone), Italy, thanks to a hat-trick of 3-0 victories, over Bolzano (25-9, 25-13, 25-17), the hosts of Futura (25-15, 25-16, 25-12) and then Macerata. This lattest was the crucial one as Macerata was still unbeaten too. Thanks to good performances from setterAprea, middleblocker Valsecchi and the trio Lanza-Fedrizzi-Morelli, it swept them and made it to the national finals.
