At the end of a positive year with Verona, coach Alberto Giuliani leaves the club. He arrived in April 2008, led the team in the A2 playoffs, then qualified the team to the Italian Cup A1. In the league, not only did the team stayed up with ease but it also almost made it to the playoffs.
“Having worked with him for over a year – said GM Gabriele Cottarelli – I really want to wish him all the luck he deserves, he’s a great coach dedicated to his job”.
