Lube Banca Marche Macerata: This is the fourth time that Macerata plays its qualification to the league final on game 5. The first was in 2002-03 with coach Roberto Masciarelli against Modena. It lost after leading the series 2-1. In 2004-05, Berruto’s Macerata was 2-0 up against Treviso before conceding three consecutive losses (3-0 in game 5). The only positive series came when the team won the title: It played Cuneo in the semi finals and it won game 5 on a 3-1 score, as De giorgi was already there.
