Trento will meet the Greek team of Iraklis tonight in the Champions League final, in what could be the first European trophy for the Italian champs. Not bad for a debut in the competition! Iraklis had the better of the Russians from Odintsovo in the semis while Trento went through thanks to a sweep against Macerata in the Italian derby. The game is scheduled at 5.30pm.

Just 11 months after celebrating the league title, Stoytchev’s boys will try to add a new successful story to the club’s 10 years of competition. “This is Iraklis’ third final in four years – warned Stoytchev though – You don’t regularly reach the Final Four of such a competition if you don’t have a special team. This will be even more difficult than the game we played today”.
