TRENTINO VOLLEY : Macerata has met the other Italian team of the event three times. In september in the super cup when Macerata won 3-0, then twice in the league regular season: a 3-0 at home and a 3-1 defeat in Trentino. On route to the Final Four, they beat the Spaniards of Palma de Maiorca in the 8th of finals, and the Polish team of Czestochowa in the quarters.
ISKRA ODINTSOVO : Macerata met the Russians in theCev Cup final 2006 in Padova. Macerata had dominated the game, winning 3-0. Odintsovo has just qualified for the domestic league semi final. It will be its second Final Four. In 2004, they finished second losing out to the host Belgorod. Maaseik from Belgium and Belchatov from poland were the opponent they beat to reach Prague.
IRAKLIS SALONICCO : having just won its second consecutive league title, Iraklis will take part in its third Final Four, in 2003-04, it lost against Odintsovo, which they will meet again this year. They finished second in 2005 as well as in 2006, losing respectively against the French team of Tours and Treviso. Iraklis is still unbeaten in the competition, in the 8th of final they got rid of Roeselare from Belgium and Friedrichshafen from Germany in the quarters.
