A bit nervous, Santa Croce did not have its best night and lost 3-2 in Crema, overwhelmed by Cazzaniga and Batista’s aces (they combined for 12). It had all started in the best possible way though, taking the first two sets, but it just could not finish the job off and let the host dangerously back in it. The latter completed a spectacular comeback despite a good start from Santa Croce in the fifth and decisive set.
Sant Croce will have to bounce back next Sunday as it hosts Isernia at the PalaPArenti gym.
