Last week, Castellana Grotte had to pay the price for the incidents that happened during last week’s game against Latina. These incidents led to a two-game disqualification for coach Lattari, an anministrative sanction and the referring of someone from the staff. It’s important to underline the fact that it came about following a totally inadeguate attitude from the second referee.

“I have to say that I witnessed what happened – said the Castellana’s Chairman – and to be honest there hasn’t been any physical brawl towards the referee contrary to what he has declared. It’s true that there has been a real reaction from some of the people but that was no more than words. Unfortunately, we fell in what I call a ‘trap’ following, it has to be said, the ridiculous accusation from Latina’s assistant coach, according to whom, our bench had been allowed to spy on them before the game. This is something unprecedented, given that both team study each other and know each other very well anyway. I think any fans would have reacted to such provocations”.

Now, it’s time to forget about this incident and focus on the next game: Loreto.
