Trentino kept its home winning streak alive with a straight set victory over the French team of Beaucais in the Champions League. This means the Italians conquered the top spot of its group with a game in hand. Even the worst of result possible in the last game against runners up Bled could change anything.

This game also proved to be a nice way to prepare the tough road game of Sunday in Macerata in the league.

“I’m very happy with that 3-0 score – said coach Radostin Stoytchev – because it was important for us to secure the first place tonight. We were were effective on the serve, which allowed us to control the game at will. I did not make many changes in order to reduce the risks to have to run more.
