Bontje: “A chance for more points”

Following the Treviso game, Verona is now heading south for its second away game of the season. Indeed, Rob Bontje and co will face Martina Franca, who beat Pineto away 3-2 in the last round. As for Verona, it went to the tie-break in each of its first three encounters. It won the first two against Treviso and Trento before surrendering against Modena.
“Martina Franca is a new team with very strong players – said Bontje, best middleblocker of the league with 44 overall points with 8 aces and 17 blocks – Granvorka can do a great job in attack and on the serve, Cernic too is a top spiker, but the most important thing is how we will play. If we play like in the first three games, we have a chance to gather some points”.
