SuperLega Credem Banca reached 12.222.000 people interested in volleyball, according to Sponsor Value promoted by StageUp and Ipsos, increasing the numbers by 4.7% since may 2020. This is the best result ever, back to the start of research in 2001.
The panel interviewed italians among the range 14-64 years, with “interested people” who are people who declared they follow the sport, even sometimes and without continuity. Superleague is followed with continuity by 3.8 millions people, on National TV Rai (35%), Lega Volley Channel on eleven Sports (7%), on radio (7%) and on social networks (11%). Also Serie A2 saw a big increase, 15%, with more than 10 millions interested.
Obviously it’s difficoult the keep the comparison with football, but, according to the research, people interested in volleyball are more aware to the sponsors in a volleyball game than the football fans. Plus, when a person interested in volleyball is approching the buy of something sponsored, this person choose the volleyball brand more than a football brand.
President of Lega Pallavolo Serie A Massimo Righi, said: “we are growing up thanks to our oustanding job, we the League and our great Clubs. Sponsors, athletes, coaches, executives, everybody helped the volleyball movement to keep high the attention and work hard to stay focused on the target. We are looking out for continuity in growing up, every day working hard on this”.
